Victor Osimhen Joins Galatasaray in Record €75 Million Transfer from Napoli
Galatasaray have finalized the permanent signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli for a reported fee of €75 million. The move sets a new record for the highest transfer fee paid by a Turkish club.
The 26-year-old forward played for Galatasaray on loan last season, scoring 26 goals in 30 league appearances and contributing to the club’s 25th Turkish Super Lig title.
Osimhen did not participate in Napoli’s recent pre-season training sessions, which coincided with ongoing discussions regarding his future. Although he returned briefly to Italy, he was not included in plans for the upcoming season under manager Antonio Conte.
Talks between the two clubs reportedly faced delays due to payment structure disagreements, but an agreement was reached on Thursday.
With this transfer, Osimhen becomes Galatasaray’s most expensive signing to date.
Meanwhile, Napoli have added Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne to their squad following his departure from Manchester City.
