Lazio winger Pedro has expressed support for Barcelona’s Pedri as a candidate for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, naming him ahead of other well-known players such as Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele.
In an interview with El Día de Tenerife (via Barca Blaugranes), the former Chelsea and Barcelona player stated his view clearly:
“Of course I’d give Pedri the maximum score,” Pedro said.
“Then Lamine Yamal. And perhaps other candidates who are there are Dembélé or Raphinha, but I’d love for Pedri to win. For me there is no doubt: he’s the best in his position in the entire world.”
Pedri is among several contenders for the award, including teammates Raphinha and Yamal, as well as players like Mohamed Salah and Dembele.
Pedro’s comments add to the ongoing discussion about this year’s top football performers.
