Liverpool have officially signed Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez in a £40 million deal.

The move pushes Liverpool’s total summer spending beyond £200 million following the earlier acquisitions of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen for a combined £145.5 million along with goalkeepers Giorgi Mamardashvili and Armin Pecsi

Kerkez 21 has signed a five-year contract at Anfield Speaking to the club’s website he said:

I’ll give everything I’ve got to win trophies with this club and hopefully score some goals at Anfield I can’t wait to hear the roar of the fans. See you soon.

Kerkez was a standout for Bournemouth last season contributing two goals and six assists in 38 Premier League appearances Liverpool had been tracking him for some time.

Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes who arrived from Bournemouth last summer originally brought Kerkez to the Premier League from AZ Alkmaar in 2023.

Earlier this month Bournemouth moved to replace Kerkez by signing Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert in a deal worth an initial £10.1 million potentially rising to £14.3 million.
