He’ll never accept to be bench player – Ancelotti on Real Madrid midfielder

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has said Luka Modric does not enjoy being left out of the squad.

Modric is out of contract this summer and is expected to leave the Bernabeu.

The Croatian midfielder had the chance to sign for a Saudi Arabian club last year but decided to stay and fight for his place under Ancelotti.

However, although his playing time has been limited, Ancelotti has hailed Modric’s professionalism.

“Luka Modrić will never accept to be a bench player, I know him well.

“He never stops to train, to fight…he always has the same excitement and will to fight and play. He will never accept that,” Ancelotti said.
