Mr. Patrick Agbaza, a building and construction industry expert and the Managing Director of Pazino Transnational Integrated Services, has emphasized the crucial need for Federal Government support for local manufacturers. He believes that such support is essential to realizing the human capital development goals set by President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking at the Homex Exhibition, which centered around the theme “Sustainability of Home Interior Design in West Africa,” Agbaza highlighted the necessity of government backing for the private sector. He argued that foreign companies and firms from countries like China, Turkey, and India succeed because they receive support from their respective governments.
Agbaza stated, “If Nigeria does the same for us by sponsoring private firms to participate in foreign exhibitions such as we are doing, it will enhance our feasibility and product market penetration.” He pointed out that international exhibitors from Turkey, China, and India were present at Homex because their governments provided support and incentives.
The organizer of Homex and Managing Director of Atlantic Exhibition Ltd, Mr. Paul Olugbade, explained that the exhibition focused on home interiors, interior design, and decorations. The event aimed to bring manufacturers, distributors, and local representatives together. It served as an international platform for manufacturers to showcase their products, engage with distributors, and establish partnerships across borders.
