Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker playing for Galatasaray, is facing allegations of assault following an incident with a journalist in Turkey.
Reports from Turkish media outlet Posta claim that the altercation occurred outside an entertainment venue when Osimhen, accompanied by friends, became upset after a reporter began filming him. Tolga Bozduman, the journalist involved, detailed the events, saying:
“I was filming Osimhen as he left the venue with three colleagues. When the camera flashes stopped, he became visibly angry, rushed toward me, and tried to grab my camera. When I refused to release it, he punched me. The pain is still there. He then shouted at me, saying, ‘Destroy the photos, I’ll pay you.’ When I declined, he threatened, ‘I’ll destroy you.’”
As of now, neither Galatasaray nor Victor Osimhen has commented on the allegations.
Despite this controversy, Osimhen has been in outstanding form for Galatasaray, scoring 15 goals and providing 6 assists so far this season.
