“Victony Opens Up About His Health Struggles: ‘I’ve Underwent Four Surgeries’”

Nigerian singer Anthony Ebuka Victor, known professionally as Victony, has shared that he has undergone four surgeries and has another scheduled in the near future.

In 2021, Victony was involved in a severe car accident that left him in a coma for four days.

During an interview on the Adesope Live segment at the Afroland festival, Victony discussed his ongoing recovery process. Despite being in the recovery phase, he is preparing for his upcoming North American tour and relies on pain relievers before performing.

“Honestly, I feel blessed and grateful. Although I’m still recovering, I’m able to continue performing and getting ready for the tour. Reflecting on the past year, including recently, I’ve had four surgeries and will need one more after the tour. Despite the frequent hospital visits, I consider it a blessing,” he said.

He also mentioned that he took a two-month break from music in February 2023 after his third surgery, and he continues to be amazed by the support and grace he has received.
