Arsenal legend Thierry Henry expressed his admiration for Gabriel Jesus following Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Sevilla in the Champions League. Henry emphasized Jesus’ overall contribution to the team, despite his lower goal tally.
In the game, the Brazilian forward not only assisted Gabriel Martinelli in opening the scoring but also delivered a spectacular second goal against the LaLiga side.
Henry stated, “I’ll be candid with you, and I think, for instance, it’s a significant example – I would have relished the opportunity to play alongside him. He’s an excellent presence to have on the field, and I’m certain that if you ask anyone, they’d love to share the pitch with him.”
While pondering Jesus’s goal-scoring potential, Henry noted, “Will he be a player who can consistently bag 25 or 30 goals? I’m not sure, but I’d like to believe so. However, the goal he netted tonight clinched the victory, and that pass to Martinelli was instrumental in securing the win. Earlier, I mentioned his all-around play, and those two moments were magnificent examples of how the game should be played,” Henry shared during an interview with CBS Sports.
