South African songstress Tyla Laura Seethal, known by her stage name Tyla, has drawn parallels between Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Wizkid and iconic musicians such as the late Michael Jackson, Drake, and Rihanna.

During an interview on the Bianca Show, the ‘Water’ artist was posed with the question of her top five greatest musicians of all time. Tyla’s response comprised Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Drake, Rihanna, and Wizkid. She justified Wizkid’s inclusion by highlighting his enduring presence and significant impact on the African music landscape.

Tyla expressed, “In my top five musical artists of all time, obviously, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Drake… It’s always challenging to choose the last one. There are so many, but I would say Wizkid. He has stood the test of time and has made substantial contributions to the culture and the genre, particularly in African music. So, I definitely place him there.”
