Two men have been convicted for assaulting a 17-year-old girl in the UK.

Two men who claimed that their sexual activities with a 17-year-old girl were consensual have been convicted of multiple rapes by Northampton Crown Court.

The men, Tosin Dada, 34, formerly of Knox Road, Wellingborough, and Solomon Ibukun Adebiyi, 39, formerly of Stanley Street, Northampton, were each charged with three counts of rape in relation to the incident that occurred on March 12, 2022.

After a nine-day trial, the jury found both defendants unanimously guilty on all counts following eight hours of deliberation. Northamptonshire Police confirmed the verdict in a Facebook post.

The men have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to be sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on October 25, 2024.
