The Nigeria Immigration Service experienced a tragic incident on the Kano-Zaria Road as some of its officers, who were returning to Abuja from Kano after a Passing-Out-Parade (POP) at the Immigration Training School, were involved in a fatal accident.
Regrettably, two officers lost their lives in the auto crash, as confirmed by the service on its official platform, expressing condolences with the poignant words, “Our candles go up while our hearts are heavy.”
Labaran Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for Kano Sector Command, reported that two officers succumbed to the accident on the spot. Additionally, seven others were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The vehicle involved in the incident was carrying a total of nine officers at the time of the unfortunate event.
