‘Trolls called me frog’ – Davido

Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed the motivation behind his purchase of a multi-million-naira frog pendant from Ice Box.

During a recent interview with GQ, the head of the 30 Billion Gang revealed that the unique frog pendant was a response to social media trolls mocking him for his hoarse voice on platforms like Twitter (now X).

In addressing the derogatory “frog” references directed at him, Davido explained, “I crafted a frog pendant because of my hoarse voice, and trolls on Twitter were calling me ‘frog.’ I thought, why not turn it into something positive and make a chain out of it?”
