On Monday, President Bola Tinubu embarked on a journey from Abuja to Maiduguri, Borno State, to participate in a significant state event.
Departing from the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 10:35 AM, Tinubu is making his inaugural visit to the northeastern region since assuming office. The purpose of his visit is to attend the Nigerian Army Annual Conference, where he will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
According to a statement by Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, the Opening Ceremony will include an address to the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI. The President will also conduct an inspection of the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri and participate in the laying of the foundation stone of Headquarters 7 Division.
