Tinubu has suspended Halima Shehu, the coordinator of NSIPA.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken decisive action by suspending Halima Shehu, the national coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), due to allegations of financial misappropriation. This move follows her confirmation by the Senate just two months ago.

In light of the suspension and the ongoing investigation, Dr. Akindele Egbuwalo, the National N-POWER Program Manager, has been appointed as the acting National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer until the investigation is concluded.

It is worth noting that President Tinubu had approved Shehu’s appointment on October 12, 2023.
