Tinubu expresses grief over famous pharmacist Ogunlana.

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the family and friends of the late Prof. Ebenezer Ogunlana, who passed away at the age of 87. This announcement was made by Ajuri Ngelale in a statement released on Monday.

The President expressed his sympathy for the Ogunlana family and the broader pharmaceutical community, acknowledging the significant loss of a respected figure in the field of pharmacy, both in Nigeria and beyond.

Tinubu offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed souls and solace for those deeply affected by this sorrowful event.

Prof. Ogunlana had previously served as the president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, the Association of Professional Bodies in Nigeria, and the West African Pharmacists Association. Additionally, he held positions such as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the then-University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University.

Notably, Ogunlana received the prestigious Andre Bedat Award, an international recognition presented by the International Pharmaceutical Federation to individuals who have demonstrated excellence in the practice of pharmacy.
