President Bola Tinubu has conveyed an executive communication to the Senate, expressing his intention to deliver the 2024 Appropriation Bill during a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, November 29, at 11 am.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced President Tinubu’s letter of intent during the plenary on Tuesday, November 28.
In a development reported by DAILY POST, the Federal Executive Council meeting held on Monday had endorsed the 2024 Appropriation Bill, set at N27.5 trillion. Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, clarified that adjustments were made from the initially proposed N26 trillion to N27.5 trillion due to changes in foreign exchange rates.
In compliance with constitutional requirements, President Tinubu is anticipated to formally present the 2024 appropriation bill before the National Assembly.
