Tinubu Appoints Governing Council for Maritime University and Other Institutions

President Bola Tinubu has appointed heads of governing councils for various federal universities and tertiary institutions.

For the Nigerian Maritime University in Okerenkoko, Delta State, the governing council will be chaired by Temi Harriman, with Adeola Adeogun, Benedict Aguele, Freeman Kasa, and Babangida Alhassan Abdullahi as members.

The Nigerian University of Science and Technology in Abuja will have Rabe Mudi Bala as Chairman, and Akinola Fagbemi, Rakiatou Bagnou, Alwel Egwurugu, and Femi Osabinu as members.

At the Federal University of Agriculture in Bassam-Biri, Bayelsa, Bram Baifa will serve as Chairman, with Richard Odigbo, Yomi Johnson, Fatima Owuna, and Christy Akpehuan-Omoruyi as members.

A statement by Tinubu’s Media Aide, Ajuri Ngelale, on Wednesday, noted that the President expects the new members of the governing boards to perform their duties effectively and within their statutory responsibilities.
