The spilling of blood in Plateau must come to an end – Mutfwang conveys a message to Tinubu.

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Murtfwang, has emphatically asserted that the ongoing violence within the state must come to an end. In a recent statement, he disclosed reaching out to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to identify and apprehend the perpetrators while also ensuring a lasting resolution to the attacks.

Governor Murtfwang shared that he engaged in discussions with President Tinubu, highlighting the collaborative decisions they have made. This initiative follows the tragic incident on Christmas Eve, where over a hundred lives were lost in various communities in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas of the state.

Expressing gratitude to President Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Murtfwang commended the urgency with which the federal government is treating the situation in Plateau State.

Acknowledging the Vice President’s deep concern for the appalling killings, Governor Murtfwang emphasized the need to halt the senseless shedding of blood on the Plateau. He decried the recent events as unprovoked, barbaric, and uncalled for, insisting that the federal government must identify and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Governor conveyed his discussions with President Tinubu, highlighting the decisions they have jointly made. He expressed his unwavering commitment to ensuring the implementation of these decisions, emphasizing the need to rectify past wrongs and provide immediate healthcare assistance to those in need.

Governor Murtfwang concluded with a hopeful note, expressing his prayers for unity among the leaders of Plateau State, believing that the seeds of unity have been planted and will eventually flourish.
