The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has uncovered illicit crude oil storage facilities and apprehended two individuals in separate operations conducted across Imo State.
NSCDC shared the details of these operations on its official Facebook page on Sunday, accompanied by images showcasing the successful enforcement activities.
The post states, “Escalating efforts against economic saboteurs: The CG SIS arrests two suspected individuals engaging in economic sabotage and seizes a Toyota Sequoia jeep loaded with over 5,000 litres of suspected adulterated AGO at Abacheke of Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State.”
Additionally, NSCDC revealed that during the operations, two unauthorized crude oil storage facilities situated in a dense forest in Izorsu community of Oguta II Local Government Area and Umuofor community of Oguta Local Government Area in Imo State were located and subsequently dismantled.
