David Gift Okpala Okpolowu, also known as 2Baba, the alleged cultist and murder suspect linked to the killing of Ahoada Division DPO, Bako Angbashim, has spoken out from his undisclosed location, refuting any involvement in the murder.
In a voice message sent to the media in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, 2Baba expressed surprise at the news of DPO Angbashim’s murder, asserting that he had no connection to the incident.
Cultists operating in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State were responsible for Angbashim’s death during a violent operation, which culminated in the seizure of his severed corpse. In response, the state’s governor, Siminalayi Fubara, announced a N100 million bounty on the perpetrator.
In the voice note, 2Baba revealed that he had spoken to Angbashim just hours before the tragic incident occurred, emphasizing that he was not present at the location when the murder took place.
He stated, “I want to clarify to the entire world that I am not responsible for the DPO’s murder. I have refrained from discussing this matter, but due to concerns from people, I feel compelled to share the truth with my community. I had no involvement in the murder; it just happened on my community road. On the day of the incident, I was not present, and I was shocked when I learned of what transpired.”
