‘Soweto’ Transformed My Life – Victony

Nigerian singer Anthony Ebuka Victor, better known as Victony, has credited his hit song “Soweto” with significantly advancing his career.

In a recent interview with Sound City, Victony shared how the global success of “Soweto” has reshaped his life.

“Soweto changed my life. It allowed me to travel to places I never imagined reaching so quickly,” he said.

The song, which gained popularity in late 2022, continued its success into 2023 with remixes featuring Don Toliver and Rema. Victony explained that these collaborations were aimed at maintaining the song’s momentum, as both artists are prominent figures whose styles complement that of “Soweto.”

He also mentioned that he is currently working as an independent artist.
