Serie A: Osimhen Makes Napoli History with Goal Against Cagliari

Victor Osimhen made history as Napoli secured a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over Cagliari at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Saturday night.

Osimhen found the net for Napoli in the 64th minute of the closely contested match, marking his fourth consecutive Serie A match with a goal against two different teams—a feat not achieved by a Napoli player since the 1994-1995 season. His initial four-goal spree came against Sampdoria, and his goal on Saturday extended this remarkable streak to include four consecutive matches against Cagliari.

In addition to his scoring prowess, the 24-year-old Nigerian striker played a pivotal role in the victory by providing the assist for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s decisive goal.

Osimhen’s impressive form continues to shine, as he has now accumulated seven goals in 14 league appearances for the reigning Serie A champions this season.
