A well-known Yoruba advocate, poet, author, writer, and artist, Alhaji Olanrewaju Adepoju, has passed away.
Fondly referred to as Lanrewaju Adepoju, he breathed his last in his Ibadan residence at the age of 81, approximately at 7 pm, according to DAILY POST.
Until his demise, he held the title of Aare Alasa of Ibadan land.
Confirming the sad news, Adejare Adepoju, one of the late poet and activist’s children, issued a brief statement to DAILY POST on Monday, stating, “Baba has gone to rest.”
