Nigerian artist Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has expressed his determination to secure a Grammy win this year, despite not receiving a nomination for the 2024 Grammys. During his visit to the Lagos mansion of billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu, Rema confidently asserted his goal of clinching a Grammy in the current year.
In a video shared on the billionaire’s Instastory, Rema conveyed his gratitude to Elumelu for consistently supporting the Nigerian music industry. Presenting an exclusive album copy and his merchandise, “Air Rema,” as gifts to the family, Rema emphasized his ambitious Grammy aspirations, stating, “Thank you for what you have done and the support you have for the music industry. I am grateful; it means a lot to me. This year, I am bringing home the Grammy.”
It’s worth noting that Rema did not receive a nomination from the Recording Academy for the 2024 Grammy Awards. Despite this setback, the artist remains determined to achieve his Grammy ambitions, with the next Grammy ceremony scheduled for 2025.
