Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has sparked fresh debate, blaming late Afrobeats legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti for his own early death, claiming Fela’s activism led to his demise.
During an engaging podcast session with media personality Quincy Jonze on the Echoo Room, Portable confidently stated that Fela “would have lived longer” if he had minded his own business. This bold statement is now trending across social media, igniting mixed reactions.
Portable said, “If Fela had minded his business just a little, he might still be alive today. He was busy fighting for Nigerians who wouldn’t fight for themselves.” His comments have left fans and critics divided, with some questioning the singer’s controversial take.
In the same interview, Portable didn’t hold back when addressing his online feud with rapper Zlatan Ibile. He went on to blame Zlatan for being the “devil” that caused a misunderstanding between him and Davido. He added, “I was in America chasing foreign artistes and causing my usual drama online when Davido called me. There was no issue until the devil Zlatan came into the picture.”
The conversation has since become a hot topic on social media, with fans eagerly sharing their thoughts on Portable’s fiery words.
