Port Harcourt Refinery Yet to Commence Bulk Sales

The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has clarified that the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) has not yet begun bulk sales of petroleum products, as critical processes are still being finalized.

This update was provided in a statement issued by NNPCL’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, on Friday.

Soneye explained that products currently sold by the refinery are sourced from the Dangote Refinery and are subject to applicable fees imposed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

“Products from PHRC are exclusively for our retail stores at this stage. Our pricing is reviewed and adjusted periodically as necessary to reflect operational realities,” the statement noted.

NNPCL also emphasized the importance of disregarding any misleading reports regarding pricing. The company assured the public that official announcements would be made if and when price reviews or other significant changes occur.
