Police Arrest Stolen Tricycle Receivers in Adamawa

The police in Adamawa have apprehended several individuals involved in the receipt of stolen tricycles. This crackdown is part of an ongoing effort to curb theft and illegal activities in the region.

The suspects were arrested following a series of investigations that linked them to the stolen tricycles. Law enforcement officials have stated that this operation is aimed at dismantling the network of thieves and receivers, thereby reducing crime rates in Adamawa. The police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help maintain safety and security in the community.

Upon receiving the tip, a police surveillance team from Jimeta Divisional Headquarters was promptly deployed. They successfully arrested Yusuf Adamu, 18, and Abdul Salam Abubakar, 18, while they were attempting to sell the stolen tricycle.

The police explained that the tricycle had been stolen by an unidentified suspect and was then received by Adamu and Abubakar. Mohammed Sani was identified as the owner of the stolen tricycle.

Nguroje, a police spokesperson, mentioned that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, praised the public for providing timely information that led to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of the tricycle.
