PDP Disciplinary Committee Has Not Summoned Wike, Clarifies Senator Nwogu

Senator Olaka Nwogu, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Disciplinary Committee, has refuted claims that the party summoned the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. Nwogu clarified that the disciplinary committee has not yet convened to address any issues related to Wike.

This clarification comes in response to statements made by PDP’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi. Abdullahi had announced that Wike was scheduled to appear before the party’s disciplinary committee for alleged anti-party activities.

Nwogu expressed concern over the misinformation circulating about the situation. He emphasized that the Disciplinary Committee has not yet met to discuss any matters, including those involving Wike. According to Nwogu, the spread of false information appears to stem from individuals with personal agendas.

“The report that Wike had been summoned is misleading, especially when the committee has not yet assembled to review such issues,” Nwogu said. “The committee is still in the process of organizing itself and has not yet undertaken any deliberations.”
