Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo: “The Devil Fears Prayers, But Poverty is No Threat to Him”

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), has emphasized the need for financial success to complement spiritual growth. Speaking during a sermon, he stated that while the devil fears prayers, he is not intimidated by people living in poverty.

To illustrate his point, Fatoyinbo shared an anecdote about a man who was preaching the gospel but faced ridicule due to his appearance. The man was reportedly dismissed by someone who questioned, “Has God helped you? Look at the way you look.”

The pastor used this story to highlight the significance of financial stability, explaining that it enhances one’s ability to effectively spread the gospel. “The devil wants people to stay behind and just make noise, even though Jesus became poor for our sake so that through the grace of God we might become rich,” he said.

Fatoyinbo encouraged his congregation to pursue both spiritual and material prosperity, stressing that wealth can serve as a powerful tool in advancing God’s kingdom.
