Omotola: “I take regular breaks from Nollywood to recharge.”

Renowned Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, widely known as Omosexy, has finally addressed the reasons behind her periodic breaks from the film industry.

The 46-year-old actress recently took to Instagram to clarify why she steps away from acting every few years, a topic that has sparked curiosity among her fans.

In her post, Omotola explained that these breaks are intentional, allowing her time to unwind and rejuvenate after extensive periods of work.

“I understand that many people question why I take time off from movies and then return after a few years,” she said. “When you’ve been working since the age of 15, as I have, it becomes essential to take time to relax, reflect, and recharge. I hope those who follow my journey understand this.”

She also mentioned that she visited Nigeria in December of the previous year and left in March after filming two movies in February.

According to DAILY POST, Omosexy began her acting career at 15, making her Nollywood debut as the lead actress in ‘Venom of Justice’ in 1995.
