Ogunbote expresses regret over the ejection of Captain Malomo in 3SC’s draw against Kwara United.

Shooting Stars’ head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, attributed the team’s inability to secure an away victory against Kwara United on Sunday to midfielder Malomo Taofeek’s red card. Taofeek was sent off during the matchday eight clash for a dangerous play, resulting in a 1-1 draw at the Kwara Sports Complex.

Ogunbote acknowledged that his team displayed a level of carelessness during the game but expressed satisfaction with the overall result. In a post-match interview, he stated, “We got a goal and were a bit careless thereafter. The red card affected our performance as our target was to win the game. Nevertheless, the one point was a consolation as our efforts did not go in vain.”

Despite the challenges, Shooting Stars are now unbeaten in their last two games and currently hold the fourth position on the NPFL table with 14 points.
