Ogun First Lady Shares Food Items to Widows and Others Amid Hardship

To alleviate the impact of economic hardship, Ogun State First Lady Bamidele Abiodun has distributed bags of rice to nearly 50 residents, including women’s groups, widows, and individuals with disabilities.

At the launch of the distribution event in Abeokuta, Mrs. Abiodun announced that the initiative would continue over the coming weeks.

She also noted that the First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, had donated bags of rice to all 36 states as part of her compassionate response to the challenges faced by many Nigerians.

“It is vital to support the most vulnerable members of society, as they play a crucial role in our communities. Empowering women, who have essential roles both at home and in society, is equally important,” Mrs. Abiodun said. “We will continue to identify additional groups in need and strive to provide relief materials. This effort aims to not only strengthen the economy but also foster peace and stability within our communities.”

In response, representatives of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Mrs. Tinubu and Mrs. Abiodun for their generous support, thanking them for helping those in need in the state.
