Kwara United’s head coach, Kabiru Dogo, has expressed his disappointment with the team’s 1-1 draw against Shooting Stars on Sunday. Despite a late equalizer by Alao Mohammed in the second half, the Harmony Boys failed to capitalize on an early lead secured by Taofeek Malomo in the 40th minute at the Kwara State Sports Complex.
Former Shooting Stars forward, Samuel Ayanrinde, missed an opportunity to put the hosts ahead when he failed to convert a penalty kick in the early minutes of the game. Dogo lamented that his players squandered a chance to take the lead but assured fans that the team would show improvement in their upcoming matches.
In a post-match statement, Dogo expressed his disappointment, saying, “The draw against Shooting Stars was not what we bargained for. I believe in the team, and we will keep improving.” Currently, Kwara United holds the 14th position on the table.
