Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has once again urged President Bola Tinubu to address the escalating economic challenges in Nigeria.
In an official statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele cautioned Tinubu to prioritize the country’s economic situation, emphasizing its deteriorating condition.
The prophet expressed concern that failure to resolve these issues could lead to widespread protests. He underscored the prevailing hunger among the people, pointing out that salary earners are struggling to make ends meet.
Primate Ayodele urged the president not to wait until public dissatisfaction escalates to the point of physical confrontation, stressing the urgency of proactive measures.
“If Tinubu doesn’t take immediate action to address our economic challenges, we will witness massive protests. The populace is already suffering, and there is a growing dissatisfaction among salary earners who can no longer sustain themselves. Governors may soon face difficulties in meeting salary obligations. The president must not wait for public unrest before taking decisive action; he needs to act now to alleviate the prevailing hunger in the nation, which could also impact other African nations. It’s imperative for the president to take the necessary steps,” he declared.
Primate Ayodele had previously offered five recommendations to President Tinubu during the unveiling of his 2024 prophecies. These solutions include ensuring a stable power supply, enhancing security measures and acquiring more weapons, developing infrastructural facilities, focusing on agriculture for increased food production, and creating employment opportunities.
“The Nigerian government must focus on five key areas in 2024 to propel the nation towards greatness: (1) Ensuring a stable power supply, (2) Improving security and bolstering the arsenal, (3) Advancing infrastructural development, (4) Prioritizing agriculture for abundant food supply, and (5) Facilitating job creation,” he emphasized.
