Nick Cannon has openly admitted that he “needs help” after revealing that he has been diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). The father of 12 shared that he exhibits nearly all the symptoms of the condition and discussed its impact on his life during an episode of his “Counsel Culture” podcast.
While volunteering at the Los Angeles Mission Thanksgiving charity event, the “Masked Singer” host told People magazine that he had long suspected something was wrong but was unaware of his diagnosis until recently. “I still don’t understand it all the way, but I kind of always wanted to get tested for it,” Cannon, 44, shared. He noted that he had previously been diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, explaining that he had always considered himself “a neurodivergent individual.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder often struggle with empathy, possess an inflated sense of self-importance, and seek constant attention from others.
After accepting his diagnosis, Cannon expressed his commitment to improving himself. “I feel like there’s so many labels out there, but it’s like, to be able to embrace it and say, ‘Look, I’m healing. I need help.
