President Bola Tinubu has recently designated executive directors for key roles within the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), both falling under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
Within the Nigerian Ports Authority, Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet has been appointed as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Engr. Olalekan Badmus takes on the role of Executive Director of Marine and Operations, and Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar assumes the position of Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services.
Meanwhile, at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Mr. Jibril Abba will serve as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Mr. Chudi Offodile is designated as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi takes on the role of Executive Director of Operations.
According to a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, President Tinubu expressed confidence in the appointees, citing their impressive profiles. Tinubu believes that these individuals will effectively and promptly carry out their collective mandate, contributing to the growth of the Marine and Blue Economy Sector and significantly enhancing its impact on the nation’s GDP.
