Napoli Owner Reminds Osimhen of Koulibaly’s Chelsea Move Amidst New Deal Discussions

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed his willingness to part ways with Victor Osimhen if the player fails to ink a fresh contract promptly.

Osimhen’s existing deal with the reigning Serie A champions is set to expire in June 2025. Nonetheless, there are doubts swirling around the future of the Nigerian international in Italy, partly triggered by an incident where the club’s official TikTok account ridiculed him for a missed penalty against Bologna.

While there has been a verbal agreement on a new contract, De Laurentiis has underscored that Osimhen’s departure from Naples remains a possibility.

He said:

“We verbally agreed on new deal in August, then if things change on his side… life goes on. Victor’s contract expires in June 2025, there’s always time.
“Remember, I sold Koulibaly to Chelsea one year before end of his deal.”
