Renowned Nigerian content creator and activist, Adebowale Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has expressed strong criticism against the Nigerian government for its failure to address the escalating insecurity issues in the country.
Macaroni’s remarks came in response to the tragic death of one of the six family members who were kidnapped in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar and his six daughters were abducted over a week ago in the Bwari Area Council of the FCT.
The victim, Nabeeha, a 400-level biological science student at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, was brutally killed by her abductors on Friday. Initially demanding a ransom of N60 million, the kidnappers subsequently increased it to N100 million after Nabeeha’s tragic murder.
Expressing his sorrow over the incident through a series of posts on his social media handle, Macaroni commented, “It’s incredibly disheartening to learn about the death of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar. Six sisters were kidnapped, and one has now lost her life. What measures is the government taking to ensure the safety of the remaining five?
“Where is the regard for human lives in Nigeria? How many more lives must be lost? How many more Nigerians will suffer due to the government’s negligence and recklessness? Every Nigerian life holds value, and it is imperative that the government acts decisively to end this brutality.”
