Music money is like ritual – Shallipopi

Renowned Nigerian artist Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, recently shared insights into the immense wealth within the music industry during an interview with Pop Central TV.

According to the music sensation, the wealth generated in the music industry is beyond comprehension. Shallipopi drew a striking comparison between the earnings from music and those from rituals, emphasizing the lucrative nature of the music business.

He highlighted the perpetual income stream generated by successful songs, stating that even if he were to cease creating new music, the songs he has previously released would continue to yield financial returns.

In his words, “There is too much money in music that you can never understand at all. Music money is like a ritual. Even if you are an artist that just came out one month, provided your song is just big, don’t worry. So for me now, I no dey balance anything because I know that music will not stop; even if I stop singing, the songs that I have dropped will continue to give me money.”

Shallipopi gained widespread recognition following the release of his debut single titled ‘Elon Musk.’
