Former French footballer, Marcel Desailly, has expressed confidence in Chelsea’s potential to secure an unexpected victory over Arsenal in the forthcoming Premier League showdown.
In the games leading up to the international break, the Blues triumphed in consecutive matches, marking their first such achievement since March, defeating Fulham and Burnley along the way.
As Arsenal makes the journey to Stamford Bridge, they find themselves sharing the top spot in the Premier League with their North London rivals, Tottenham. In the previous season, Mikel Arteta’s squad managed to secure victories against Chelsea both at home and away.
Nonetheless, Desailly suggests that Arsenal might underestimate the challenge posed by Chelsea. He stated, “It appears to be an improbable outcome, but I’m inclined to predict a 3-1 victory for Chelsea. Why not? This unpredictability is what makes the Premier League so captivating. When a team experiences a lapse in their mental and physical readiness for the intensity of a match, anything is possible,” Desailly conveyed during an interview with Gambling Zone.
