Manchester United is in discussions to acquire Fofana.

Manchester United have initiated discussions with Monaco regarding the acquisition of Youssouf Fofana, according to Sky Sports.

The club is assessing the terms for a transfer of the 25-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract.

Fofana has been with Monaco since 2020, making 175 appearances and scoring seven goals.

United are also exploring several other midfield options, including Richard Rios from Palmeiras, Sander Berge from Burnley, Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, and Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina, who was on loan at the club last season.

Additionally, the Red Devils remain interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte, but are hesitant due to the current asking price.
