This is a report of a mysterious incident involving the discovery of a deceased man in his Toyota SUV in G.R.A, Benin City, Edo State. The man was found seated behind the steering wheel, fastened to his seatbelt, without any apparent signs of bodily injury indicating a violent attack. The investigators suspect that the man may have been a victim of robbery, as his trousers’ pockets and the interior of his car were found ransacked.
The police are currently working to identify the deceased individual and contact his family, as his phone is missing. The only available clue at the moment is a hotel receipt with the name Dr. Eromon David. The spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the incident and mentioned that the investigators are conducting further inquiries.
The vehicle in which the deceased was found is a dark blue Toyota 4Runner with the registration number Lagos FKJ-39 FB. The police discovered that the man’s phone and other valuables were missing, indicating that the vehicle had been ransacked. Additionally, three copies of lodging receipts in the name of the University of Benin were found, with the name Dr. Eromon David mentioned.
The police spokesperson mentioned that the investigators would determine the cause of death and address other issues related to the incident as the investigation progresses.
