“A Lagos-Based Blogger, Stanley Okoruwa, Publicly Apologizes for Defaming E-Money and Junior Pope’s Wife”
Stanley Okoruwa, a blogger based in Lagos, has issued a public apology for making baseless allegations against popular businessman Emeka Okonkwo, also known as E-Money, and Jennifer Awele, the wife of the late actor Junior Pope.
This apology comes after E-Money launched a search for two women and a man who falsely claimed to have had an affair with Junior Pope’s wife.
Subsequently, the blogger was apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command following a petition filed by E-Money regarding the offensive video.
“In a Turn of Events, Blogger Retracts Allegations Against E-Money and Expresses Regret”
The blogger, in a surprising turn of events, retracted his previous statements and expressed remorse for his actions. He admitted that his allegations were fabricated solely to attract more followers to his Facebook page.
“E-Money, I am deeply sorry for tarnishing your reputation. I concocted the video alleging that E-Money was involved with Junior Pope’s wife only to gain more followers on Facebook,” he confessed in an interview with Arise TV.
Meanwhile, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed that the blogger would face prosecution for allegedly defaming E-Money in his online video. Hundeyin stated that E-Money followed proper procedures by reporting the incident to the police.
“He will be prosecuted because his actions constitute criminal behavior. He has purportedly defamed E-Money, and legal action will be taken,” Hundeyin affirmed.
