This recognition underscores her growing influence in the global music scene, particularly since her breakthrough into the US market with the chart-topping collaboration ‘Essence’ alongside Wizkid.
Tems has consistently garnered praise from American media, highlighting her exceptional talent and significant impact on the music industry. Following her debut on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, she has further solidified her career by collaborating with renowned figures in the US music scene, including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Drake, and Future.
The Grammy-winning artist clinched the award for Best Melodic Rap Performance with her track ‘Wait for U,’ featuring Drake and Future. Notably, Tems made history as the first African artist to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking her as the second Nigerian to achieve this remarkable milestone.
