Port Harcourt Refinery Resumes Operations

A significant milestone for Nigeria’s energy sector has been achieved. The Port Harcourt Refinery in Rivers State has officially commenced crude oil processing. This development was confirmed by the NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Femi Soneye.

The refinery is currently operating at 60% capacity, processing 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day. This resumption of operations is expected to alleviate Nigeria’s reliance on imported refined petroleum products and boost the nation’s economy.

NNPC is also actively working to bring the Warri Refinery back online, further strengthening Nigeria’s domestic refining capabilities.
