Lyta expresses his desire to reunite with YBNL and appeals to Olamide for a return.

Nigerian artist Opeyemi Rahim, widely known as Lyta, has expressed his wish to reunite with his former music label, YBNL Nation. Speaking on the Ginger Yourself Podcast, Lyta clarified that his departure from YBNL was not intentional.

“I want to return to YBNL; leaving back then wasn’t intentional. I didn’t have any communication from Olamide before leaving, and after I left, things just went silent. However, I’ve spoken to him since then. We exchanged messages on Instagram during his birthday, and he responded,” Lyta explained.

When asked if Olamide follows him on Instagram, the ‘Monalisa’ singer responded, “No, he is not following anyone on Instagram.”

It’s worth noting that Lyta departed from YBNL Nation in 2019 due to a disagreement with the label’s founder, Olamide. In a 2022 interview, Lyta revealed that he left YBNL because he had heard various things from friends and industry insiders. He admitted feeling uncertain about whom or what to believe, and external influences played a role in his decision to part ways with the label.
