The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the much-anticipated results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), while withholding 39,834 results over suspected examination malpractice.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, stated that the withheld results are under scrutiny due to various irregularities linked to exam fraud.
“In total, the results of 39,834 candidates are being withheld on grounds of suspected examination malpractices,” Oloyede announced.
He added that 80 individuals are currently under investigation for exam-related offences, with Anambra State recording the highest number of suspects—14 in total.
In a separate revelation, the Board disclosed that 467 underage candidates surpassed the minimum score benchmark, while 50 others were identified as being directly involved in exam fraud.
JAMB is expected to provide further updates as investigations continue.
