Isoko Musician Dr. Arube Otor to Marry Three Wives, Plans to Father 32 Children

Popular Isoko musician, Dr. Arube Otor, also known as Isoko Fela, is set to marry three of his wives in a grand ceremony tomorrow in Uzere, Delta State. The 53-year-old musician, who already has nine children, is steadfast in his goal of fathering 32 children and ensuring they receive university education.

Born into a polygamous family, Otor has always been comfortable with the idea of having multiple wives. He revealed that he is holding a combined marriage reception for his three wives to save costs. “I had two wives before, but one walked out of the marriage. So, I was left with one wife until now, and I am adding these three. This Sunday, I will be holding the marriage reception for these three, bringing the total to four wives. I still have two other women who will soon join, making it six in total,” he shared.

In an interview with Saturday Vanguard, Otor expressed his unwavering commitment to his dream of having 32 children. “I won’t leave this earth until I have 32 children,” he said, explaining that all his children will be given the opportunity to attend university. He also added that his first son is destined to join the military.

Otor, who was raised in a polygamous home where his father had four wives, noted that his upbringing has shaped his views on polygamy. “We related very well and bonded with all the mothers. Polygamy was never a problem in our home, and we still maintain a healthy relationship. I want all my children to be university graduates, and none of them are in my band yet.”

When asked how he handles disputes among his wives, Otor explained that he ensures peace and harmony in his home by personally settling any conflicts. “If my wives have issues, they report to me, and I resolve it. I call others to witness how I settle disputes so that they can learn from the process.”

Otor shared that each of his wives is involved in a business outside of his music career. “My first wife is a hairdresser, the second is a caterer, and the third is a trader. The junior one is also a hairdresser. I also have two concubines, and I plan to marry them soon.”

Addressing concerns about his ability to satisfy all his wives, Otor confidently assured that his age hasn’t affected his vitality. “At 53, I still have the strength and energy to ensure none of my wives feels neglected. My energy comes from my natural diet, which excludes rice and aphrodisiacs.”

Otor’s life and bold statements continue to stir conversations about his unique approach to family, polygamy, and fatherhood, as he moves forward with his plans for an even larger family.
