‘I’m now an upcoming artiste’ – 2BABA laments

Renowned Nigerian artist, Innocent Ujah Idibia, also known as 2Baba, expressed his frustration, stating that the accomplishments of emerging artists have seemingly diminished his stature to that of an “upcoming artist.” While acknowledging the achievements of the younger generation, particularly praising their successes, 2Baba vowed to reclaim the spotlight in the upcoming year. He hinted at the release of new music later in the year, sharing his determination on Instagram: “Mennn! These new cats are not smiling o. I don turn to upcoming artist o. Chai! But as dem talk am, we no go gree for anybody this year. Na kitchen [studio] I dey lai dis.”
