ICPC Tracks N610bn Constituency Projects in 22 States
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has initiated a new phase of its project tracking exercise. This phase will focus on 1,500 projects worth N610 billion across 22 states.
The aim of the initiative is to ensure that government funds allocated for these projects are utilized effectively and that the projects are completed as planned. The ICPC will be monitoring projects in sectors such as education, health, agriculture, water resources, and power.
This is the seventh phase of the project tracking exercise, which began in 2019. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has previously tracked over 1,900 projects worth N500 billion. By closely monitoring government projects, the commission aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and the overall quality of public works.
